Vijay’s introductory song in Prabhu Deva’s Villu will actually see him dancing with Kushboo!
The team of producer Arun Pandian and music director Devi Sri Prasad came together for a soft audio launch at a radio station on Sunday (Nov 14). The film is slated for a Pongal release.
Apparently, the filmmaker was originally keen on roping in Divya Spandana to do the item number, but the actress made it clear to him that she will not do a one-song act again.
So, actress Khushboo, a confessed Vijay fan, was approached and the actress readily agreed to do the role.
That song will be the introductory song of Vijay which will surely be lapped up by his fans. Earlier, actresses like Shilpa Shetty, Meena, Nayanthara and Namitha had done one song appearances with Ilaya Thalapathy:source:sify.com

Mamta Mohandas sings for Nayantara in Villu
This is one matter that everyone in Kollywood is discussing widely – Mamta Mohandas sang for Nayantara recently in the Vijay starrer Villu! After all, heroines who can sing are a rare breed, and the case of heroines singing for other heroines is an extreme rarity!
Mesmerized by her beautiful voice. Prabhu Deva readily agreed when Devi Sri Prasad suggested that they make her sing in Villu; the duo agreed that her sexy voice suits Nayantara perfectly

We salute the spirit and commitment of Prabu Deva. A day after the sad demise of his son Vishal, Prabhu was back on the sets of his Villu. Prabu Deva who was shattered by the death of his son is trying to put back his tears, remorse and grief by throwing himself on his work. It’s the best way to get over one’s personal tragedy. Recently after the Mumbai massacre, the Manager of Taj Hotel whose family was wiped out by the terrorist, preferred to stay on at work rather than go into mourning. It is a very tough thing, especially when you have lost your dear ones.
The Villu unit shot some patchwork to the climax and the Shubham scene. Later on a huge set at Binny Mills, the introductory song of Vijay was being shot. It was choreographed by Vijay’s opening song specialist Asok Raj, who has done many of his hit songs.Ayngaran Music will be launching the Villu audio on December 15. The music of Devi Sri Prasad is going to rock.
Both Vijay and Prabhu Deva are trying to recreate the magic of ‘Pokkiri’ with their current film ‘Villu’. While ‘Pokkiri’ was the remake of a Telugu film starring Mahesh Babu, ‘Villu’ reportedly is inspired by the Hindi film ‘Soldier’ that starred Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta.
Vijay will be seen playing a double role in the film (a father and son). The son who is the protagonist of the story would go all out to clear his dad’s name from some malicious charges. While Nayantara would play the son’s arm candy, yesteryear heroine Ranjitha has been roped in to play the wife of Vijay (Daddy).
Going by Vijay’s films of late, ‘Villu’ will also have the exact proportions of action, songs, sentiments and larger-than-life heroism that is bound to win at the end.
The last time Vijay played a double role was for ‘Azhagiya Tamizh Magan’ which proved to be a damp squib at the box office. When ‘Azhagiya Tamizh Magan’ was released many reviewers felt that double roles are not meant for Vijay. Let’s see if Vijay can prove them wrong with ‘Villu’.
