According to all the sources, Dhanush has bought the title rights of almost all the films of Superstar Rajinikanth. Precisely, Vijay has gone a step ahead in stapling his films with MGR Films’ titles.

Although his ‘Villu’ was just the name, the title song had the ‘Nanmai Undu’ of MGR’s yesteryear film. Now his forthcoming film directed by Babu Sivan has been named as ‘Vettaikaran’ and his 50th film as ‘Urimai Kural’.

Kapilan’s lyrics in Vettaikaran have impressed Illayathalapathy Vijay, we hear. The actor was highly impressed over the lines Unavu udai uraividam uzhavanukku kidaikkanum avan anupavicha micham meedhi aandavanukku padaikkanum.

It is worth mentioning here that Kapilan’s lyrics in Vijay’s earlier film Pokkiri Adungada enna suthi with the lines theepandham edudhu theendamai koluthu was also a hit and the actor’s fans had used it in the banners during the release of the film. Probably Vijay’s fans should be eying the Unavu Udai Uraividam song lyrics for the banner this time.

Vijay next film in the pipeline, Vettaikaran, has drawn in a lot of expectations among his fans. The film is directed by Babu Sivan and has Anushka pairing up with Vijay.

Vijay`s `Vettaikaran` was launched here in Chennai yesterday at AVM Studios. There weren`t any big gatherings. Merely, the film unit crewmembers Vijay and his wife Sangeetha, Director of the film Babu Sivan, his mentor Dharani, Producers of AVM, Music Director Vijay Antony, Cinematographer Gopinath and many more were present. The film has Anushka in female lead and she wasn`t present there for the occasion.

Among those who participated in the simple ‘pooja’ were Vijay and his wife Sangeetha, his dad S.A. Chandrasekar, Producers AVM Balasubramanian and his son .B. Gurunath Meiyappan, the director of the film Babu Sivan, music director Vijay Antony cameraman Gopinath and guest Dharani.

Vettaikaran is the title of an old MGR film. It is Vijay’s 49th film and is said to be an action adventure film. Our Ilayathalapathy Vijay wanted to cast Ileana as his heroine for a long time.

Finally, it looks like it is happening. She is almost certain to be his heroine in AVM Balasubramaniam’s new film Vettaikaran to be directed by debutant Babu Sivan, a former assistant of Dharani.

Ileana has done just one film in TamiKD which bombed, however she has a couple of hits in Telugu like Pokkiri with Mahesh Babu.

She is said to be a lucky star, and her demand it seems is that she should be paid her market rate in Telugu which is said to be around Rs 1.25 crore!

Actor Vijay’s next project after “Villu” is “Vettaikaran” as the movie is in search of the leading heroines and found none of them had accepted any offers. Vijay wants Asin in the lead but Asin bagged more number of Hindi films and asked Vijay to wait for but it’s not possible from producer’s side.
