Pattalam Movie has no vulgar dialogues : Rohan says it is a theme woven around school kids and their carefree adolescent world, full of mischief and fun. The theme has seldom been explored in mainstream Tamil cinema, except in the 1981 classic Panneer Pushpangal and recently Dhanush’s debut film Thulluvatho Illamai, which however was criticised for its steamy scenes and dialogues.

Rohan is clear and says, “My film has no vulgar dialogues or crude scenes. It been passed by the censors with a clean ‘U’ certificate.” The story, in a nutshell, is about how Nadiya is able to discipline a bunch of young kids and turn the school into a model institution, after going through harrowing experiences.

There are eight new boys including Irfan, Hari and Balaji who were there in K3, along with a new girl Kripa. The peppy music of the film, by singer-turned-musician Jassy Gift, is already a hit.

Says Nadia, “I had a blast doing the film where sentiments have been mixed well with fun elements and music. It is definitely going to be loved by family audiences.”
After seeing the film, producer Lingusamy hugged and congratulated Rohan and told him, “You have surpassed my expectations. It’s better than your narration of the story to me.” The debutant director values the comment as he feels Lingusamy is one of the few directors in Tamil commercial cinema who have a terrific script sense.

Pattalam Movie to Git The theatre this friday, whidh is for the youngsters and olders you wants to recall their school and college life.’Pattalam’ is the second film produced by Director Lingusamy’s Tirupathi Brothers. Director Lingusamy turned producer with ‘Deepavali’ starring Jayam Ravi and now ‘Pattalam’. Nadia does an important role in the film ‘Pattalam’.In the new film ‘Pattalam’ Nadhiya plays the role of a school correspondent and psychiatrist who is very close to 9 school going youngsters who are having a blast enjoying their teenage years without any commitments to burden them.

Rohan Krishna has written the screenplay and makes his debut as director. Roshan Kumar who is a former assistant to hit makers Priyadarshan and Santosh Sivan and also has got a national award for a short film ‘Paramapadham’. The shooting for ‘Pattalam’ started recently along with the inaugural pooja. Shooting took place at Venkateswara College at Gowrivakkam near Tambaram. Nadia took part in the shooting.

Vettaikaran Movie Launch Photo gallery

Vijay`s `Vettaikaran` was launched here in Chennai yesterday at AVM Studios. There weren`t any big gatherings. Merely, the film unit crewmembers Vijay and his wife Sangeetha, Director of the film Babu Sivan, his mentor Dharani, Producers of AVM, Music Director Vijay Antony, Cinematographer Gopinath and many more were present. The film has Anushka in female lead and she wasn`t present there for the occasion.

Among those who participated in the simple ‘pooja’ were Vijay and his wife Sangeetha, his dad S.A. Chandrasekar, Producers AVM Balasubramanian and his son .B. Gurunath Meiyappan, the director of the film Babu Sivan, music director Vijay Antony cameraman Gopinath and guest Dharani.

Vettaikaran is the title of an old MGR film. It is Vijay’s 49th film and is said to be an action adventure film.
